The beauty and abundance of natural resources in the Hadi village attract all the tourists visiting Malvan. The village has also arranged many programs for visiting tourists to make their visits memorable.
Tourists are provided with information as well as a demonstration of rural occupations. Since the village has a large number of ‘Maad’ trees, tourists can see and experience the process of extracting ‘Madi’ – a local drink from these trees. A large number of coconut trees have also provided the raw material to make various objects such as brooms, coir ropes, coir door mats etc. tourists can see these typical rural occupations and experience the process of making these objects.
The Kalaval creek merges into the Arabian sea, just after Hadi village. The creek has a unique advantage of being home to a large and diverse fish and sea life. Tourism can support the development of a village. The villagers can earn a livelihood from this and make significant development in their lifestyles. Keeping these factors in mind, we have focused on rural tourism. The Mahila Bachat Gat (cooperative saving society) operated by the village women folk also runs a snack center in the village. The tourists can taste authentic Malvani cuisine and various local delicacies here.
The village also sells homegrown vegetables and other consumable products that are grown on organic fertilizers. They can also buy various products from the village plantations and those made by the local artisans. To enable these, two special shops are dedicated and these products are exhibited in these shops for tourists to see and buy.
The terrace of the village panchayat building also has a wonderful restaurant. The tourists can have a wonderful view of the surrounding natural habitat and natural beauty of the village while enjoying their favorite food items. The local village saving societies run this restaurant on a rental basis.
With greenery all around, the Hadi village is a treat to anyone who would like to take a boat ride in the mangroves around the Kalaval creek. Lots of fish and sea life are present in the creek waters and the mangroves are home to many birds, local as well as migrants. Tourists can enjoy these rides and explore nature even better using the telescopes that we have installed. The calm and quiet waters of the creek allow the tourists to enjoy boat rides using two boats that we have deployed for their service. The enthusiastic youths from the village have been given special training and they work as a ‘nature guide’ for the benefit of the visiting tourists. Every boat ride in the blue sparkling waters of the Kalaval creek will be a memorable one for the tourists coming to Hadi village.
The Kalaval creek surrounds the village and almost supplies it with natural resources. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere and extremely diverse biology are the gifts of nature to Hadi village. In order to provide more information about the diversity of this place to tourists and visitors, the old village panchayat building was transformed into a Biodiversity Information Center. In the beautiful center, we have collected and displayed information gathered from Hadi and its nearby regions by various prominent scientists of the country. This information is displayed in an exhibition format. Tourists are provided information like what is biodiversity, what is an ecosystem and details about the nature exploration on the Juva island is presented here. Not just students of biodiversity but tourists and visitors will also be able to enjoy the details of the information presented in this center and benefit from the same.

Under the ‘Chanda to Banda’ scheme launched by Maharashtra Government, a coir industry has been set up in ‘Hadi’ village to create various products. Coir ropes, doormats, cocoa pits, and other handicraft items are being prepared under this initiative. It would be a new and interesting experience for the tourists to watch various products created from the bark of coconut tree.
